Hospitality Heroes
ABOUT HOSPITALITY HEROES
Hospitality is the backbone of the Las Vegas experience and tourism is Southern Nevada’s top economic driver, representing approximately 30 percent of overall employment in the state. The Hospitality Heroes recognition program was created to celebrate the accomplishments of an elite group of hospitality workers who keep Las Vegas the number one tourist destination. The program has received nearly 600 nominations since its launch in 2021.
HOW ARE HOSPITALITY HEROES SELECTED?
Nominees must be with their current employer for a minimum of one year and work in Las Vegas at a tourism-focused business such as a casino resort, restaurant, tour operator, entertainment venue, etc. Nominees must also be in good standing with no pending disciplinary actions. Nominations must describe specific, detailed examples of how the nominee goes above and beyond to positively impact the guest experience.
Hospitality Heroes winners are selected by an independent committee made up of department chairs and faculty from UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. The partnership aligns the best of the best in hospitality with the future of our industry. Hospitality Heroes are recognized both at their place of employment and during the LVCVA’s public Board of Directors meeting. They also receive a staycation and food and beverage credit at a Las Vegas resort.
The 2024 Hospitality Heroes program will follow the schedule below:
Quarter 1, 2025
Quarter 2, 2025
